So funnily enough, it took me four weeks to make this video. In the first week, I struggled to get this video started. I felt a bit of a mental block because I felt unsure on how to tell the story with this video. In the next two weeks I was sick. My daughter brought home a Gastrointestinal infection from daycare! Then in the last week, Windows Update decided to brick my Windows installation. I literally could not log into my PC anymore, not even in Safe Mode! At this point I knew however that I needed to power through. I reinstalled Windows and all of my applications and went chugging along. And somehow that is when I managed to enter the flow state finally to finish up this video.
And what is the result of all of that? One of my favorite videos so far! I really enjoyed this trip and seeing how the final product came together I was so proud of it. But let’s get to telling you what this video is about. Tatsui and I were spending our last day in Japan with the flight departing from Haneda airport. That airport is really close to Kanagawa Prefecture aka the city of Yokohama. So spending the day there was a match made in heaven, particularly because of the many things to do there. We chose to visit the popular Ramen museum that I adored. We went to the local Chinatown and learnt about the history of the Chinese migrants who settled there. And finally, we enjoyed the amazing Gundam robot that was exhibited there (Unfortunately that has been taken down in April of this year 😥, but you can go and visit it at the Expo 2025 in Osaka next year)!
Overall, the day was absolutely incredible and I was really glad I did all of those things for the last day of my fourth stay in Japan! My parents even just watched the video and said they want to go to Japan again now. So go and check it out. I am sure you’ll love the video too!
