Tatsui has been dreaming of going to Kusatsu Onsen for a long time now. And as we are on a quest to visit all the prefectures of Japan, is there any particular reason to visit other than it being my wife’s life-long dream? The answer is very simple: they obviously must have some very good food there!

Just kidding, they do have good food but we simply went here because it fit our travel plans well. It also doubles as a representative of Gunma prefecture. So …. during these 2 days here we will enjoy our nice little Onsen Resort Hotel — The Oyado Konoha. A hotel that seems traditional, but there is more … than meets the eye. We also explore Kusatsu, its main plaza, its shows (Monkey!) and a capybara somehow! And of course, my physics degree would be worthless if I didn’t investigate some of the Onsen science clearly visible on display here … while getting drunk on plum wine. Let’s go an visit the touristy Kusatsu Onsen! Yay!
